We began our quest to
introduce Biodiesel to the shore over two years ago.
Biodiesel contains no petroleum, but it can be blended at any
level with petroleum diesel to create a biodiesel blend.It is
simple to use, biodegradable, nontoxic, and essentially free
of sulfur and aromatics. Bottom line: biodiesel reduces our
dependence on foreign petroleum, enhances American agriculture
and is good for the environment.

Myth:
Biodiesel is an experimental fuel and has not been thoroughly
tested.
Fact: Biodiesel is one of the most thoroughly tested alternative
fuels on the market. |

A number of independent studies
have been completed with the results showing biodiesel
performs similar to petroleum diesel while benefiting
the environment and human health compared to diesel. Biodiesel
is the first and only alternative fuel to have completed
the rigorous Health Effects testing requirements of the
Clean Air Act.

When
complete, the Maryland Biodiesel plant will be the only
plant in Maryland to blend biodiesel. Currently the project
is in the hands of the Worcester County Commissioners
who are deciding on the twin issues of zoning and HazMat
regulations. |
| Today, Biodiesel is America's
fastest growing alternative fuel. It is being used extensively
by branches of the U.S. military and countless, municipalities
and private fleets. |

Truckers Use Biodiesel
Coast to coast, biodiesel's momentum
within the trucking industry is increasing as a growing
number of truckers fill their rigs with the renewable
fuel and more truck stops begin selling biodiesel blends.
With support from legendary musician and biodiesel advocate
Willie Nelson, the trucking industry is turning to biodiesel
as an American-made supplement to regular diesel fuel.
Biodiesel has the added benefits of helping to reduce
U.S. dependence on foreign oil; supporting American farmers
and protecting the environment.
